Oct.20: Equity for Direct Care Workers

Despite their critical roles in the lives of millions of older people, direct care workers in the U.S. often face inadequate compensation and training, limited advancement opportunities, and a lack of recognition. This presentation will address the structural inequities and disparities facing direct care workers —as well as the initiatives and movements that are working to ensure that they can thrive.

Panelists included Ilana Berger, Hand in Hand, Emily Dieppa, PHI (Paraprofessional Health Institute), and Molly Krakowski, JASA.
