Please join us for an inspiring morning with nationally recognized author and gerontologist Dr. Tracey Gendron as she discusses her new book Ageism Unmasked: Exploring Age Bias and How to End It. Dr. Gendron will share insights into her bold account of the realities of ageism, both in history and the present day, the roots of ageism and its impact, and how each of us can create a new reality of elderhood. 

She will discuss powerful opportunities for personal growth, strategies to help create an anti-ageist society, and how to reset expectations for getting old.

Dr. Tracey Gendron

Chair, Virginia Commonwealth University, Dept of Gerontology

Dr. Tracey Gendron serves as Chair for the Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Gerontology, as Director for the Virginia Center on Aging and is the author of the bestselling book Ageism Unmasked: Exploring Age Bias and How to End It. With over 25 years of experience as a grantfunded researcher and nationally recognized speaker, Tracey is dedicated to raising awareness and ending ageism through education. Tracey has a Master’s degree in Gerontology, a Master’s degree in Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology.
